Nightrider: The Final Countdown

Posted on: 6th June 2012

The unique 100km moonlit ride past London’s iconic landmarks is fast approaching and with celebrities like Ben Fogle and Jim Carter (Downton Abbey’s Mr Carson) taking part it’s bound to be an even more incredible experience!!!

With only 3 days to go we thought it vital to find out how the B&S team is getting on, so here’s a short interview we carried out with Kevin, a member of the B&S nightrider team…

My friend has volunteered there for a while and I thought it was a wonderful charity – hence I got involved with Nightrider. Not forgetting that I am a cycling enthusiast!

Easiest is flat cycling – hardest is repeatedly going up the hill to Crouch End from Finsbury Park – a lung and leg buster!

I try to do at least one a year – be it a triathlon, night ride, or cycle to Brighton!

Train hard, preparation is key. Make sure you bring a spare inner tube or two and lots of fluid!

SMILE!

In the meantime please visit the B&S nightrider Just Giving page and help raise essential funds for children, young people and families who are living with or affected by HIV.
