We’re very excited to announce our next big fundraising challenge: THE LONDON TO BRIGHTON CYCLE, and we’re hoping that as many of you as possible get involved!
This exciting challenge will take place on Sunday 16th September 2012 and will cover a 54 mile route.
Why take part?
It’s a chance to raise important funds for Body & Soul, allowing us to continue to provide life-changing services for children, young people and families living with and closely affected by HIV here in the UK. If you’re an avid cycler then you’ll be raising funds by doing something that you love, if you’re new to cycling but looking for a challenge it’s an achievable distance and you’ve got plenty of time to start training!
Coming together in support of such a worthwhile cause generates a brilliant atmosphere on the day, with the added bonus of ending up on Brighton beach! Imagine relaxing and watching the sunset after a day of cycling, happy in the knowledge that the money you’ve raised will make a significant difference in the life of somebody living with HIV.
We’d like to encourage those who have previously taken part in non-cycling challenges or those who have considered it but never been brave enough to push themselves that little bit further to step out of your comfort zone and try something new in the name of charity. The fact that you’re undertaking a new type of challenge may even persuade donors to dig a little deeper!
Taking place just after the Olympics, 2012 is the perfect summer to take part in such a challenge, Why not get a team of friends, family or colleagues together and embrace the fundraising spirit!
How do I raise the sponsorship money?
At £30 a place and with a minimum sponsorship of only £100, this fundraising event is incredibly affordable – don’t feel daunted by raising sponsorship money!
Fundraising is easy to do – rally round friends, family and colleagues, or spread the word via Facebook and Twitter. We’re happy to provide further tips and advice along the way, so you won’t feel alone in your fundraising!
What should I do next?
