Body & Soul is Recruiting: Corporate Partnerships Officer

Corporate Partnerships Officer (F/T £25-28,000)

This newly-created role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly-motivated and imaginative individual to make a tangible impact on Body & Soul’s fundraising and partnerships activities by leading on the effective delivery of our corporate fundraising strategy. Previous experience of corporate partnerships, account management and fundraising is not essential although the successful applicant will be able to:

  • effectively communicate and engage a wide range of people with a range of activities and initiatives
  • demonstrate excellent organisational skills
  • write versatile, compelling pitches
  • confidently and pro-actively develop new relationships
  • articulately pitch ideas and projects to individuals on all levels of seniority
  • demonstrate genuine passion and insight when promoting Body & Soul
  • thrive under pressure and meet targets

Above all, you need to be conscientious, tenacious and outgoing; capable of building sustainable relationships with Body & Soul’s corporate partners and ready to take on the challenge of generating the partnerships necessary to support the growing numbers of children, teenagers and families affected by HIV who come to Body & Soul for support.

Main purpose of role:

1. To lead on the effective development and implementation of Body & Soul’s corporate fundraising strategy
2. To maximize income from corporate sources by:

  • Maintaining the existing schedule of applications and reporting
  • Building and maintaining high quality relationships with existing and new corporates
  • Researching and identifying potential new corporate partners
  • Developing, preparing and writing creative and attractive proposals that partnership criteria
  • Maintaining an exceptional knowledge of Body & Soul’s programmes, impact and culture and communicating this through lively and sophisticated copy

3. To deliver excellent account management to all corporate partners, keeping them informed, valued and motivated through engaging reporting and communications that effectively convey Body & Soul’s impact
4. To ensure that Body & Soul’s programme staff are informed about income agreements and how this impacts service delivery and monitoring and evaluation of services
