Volunteers are at the forefront of Body & Soul. Our award-winning volunteer team’s skills, energy, ideas and sheer numbers all allows us to deliver consistent excellence in support to people living with HIV.
We are continually inspired by the enthusiasm of our volunteers and their commitment to Body & Soul. Our current team of more than 250 volunteers includes artists, music producers, dance teachers, educational professionals, complementary therapists, doctors, social workers, students… a huge range of diverse people with big hearts. Warmth, friendliness, humility and the ability to form strong relationships are the core skills that all our volunteers share.
In addition to our regular volunteers, teams of volunteers from local businesses and international corporations often visit and support us with one-off projects. Recent teams have, for example, transformed the children’s centre
into Narnia, made a mini carnival float and re-potted our window boxes!
So whatever you’re into, whether it’s science or street dance, film or photography, we invite you to explore the regular volunteering opportunities and our one-off skills search announcements. For some inspiration and food for thought, check out our volunteering blogs too.
If you have time to give but work, study or life in general makes it difficult to make a long term commitment, please do get in touch and consider joining our volunteer pool – you tell us your skills and availability and we’ll be in touch when we can utilise your skills with our members.
We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to the team.
